Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule a delivery?

We ask that you fill out a Delivery Request so that we have all the info we require, and we will then contact you by your preferred contact method to secure a date, and 2 hour delivery window that works for you. Once you submit your delivery request, we will contact you within 1 business day, but usually within the hour.

What is your cancellation policy for a scheduled delivery?

If you need to cancel, you must do so a minimum of 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery time. If you are not home, miss your delivery, or do not accept your delivery for any reason, you will not be permitted to reschedule or order with us again, however you are welcome to pick up.

What types of firewood do you have? What are your prices?

The descriptions of the firewood types we offer, along with a full menu of pricing for both pick up and delivery can be found here.

Is your firewood covered?

It is NOT. We are a completely outdoor facility and are subject to any rain/snowfall/precipitation that may come (thus affecting softwoods, hardwoods, kiln dried and specialty woods). We recommend purchasing firewood during off season, or at the very least well before you need it. All of our firewood is either kiln dried, or cut from seasoned (a minimum of 1 year) logs. Winter weather, snowfall, and freezing temps can make burning very difficult and frustrating unless you are very experienced.

Can I burn the firewood right away?

In most cases, absolutely! Especially if you are experienced in building a fire. However, as explained above we are an outdoor facility and it may be harder to start your fire in winter and spring due to higher amounts of snow/rain and freezing temps; which is why we recommend buying firewood before you need it. If you are accustomed to only buying a bundle of firewood or fire-log from the grocery store, then our firewood may be more of a challenge to you. We are always happy to give advice and help you understand how to properly build a fire with real firewood.

Do I have to be home for a delivery?

We do prefer you to be home to accept delivery and pay upon receipt. In some cases, a credit card can be left on file and we can deliver without you being home. For orders with stacking service, we do require the person paying to be present.

Do I pay in advance for my delivery?

No. Payment is due and collected at delivery, and you can settle out directly with the driver. The driver is able to accept cash, credit, or debit payment. We do not accept checks.

When my firewood is delivered, where is it dumped?

We deliver with full size pick up trucks that pull large dump trailers. We will dump your firewood wherever you would like, as long as the truck and trailer can access the area (no railroad ties, boulders, curbs, retaining walls, plants, etc.). Overhead clearance is needed for the trailer to tip. Trees, low power lines, structures, etc. may prevent us from dumping in certain areas. In this case, an alternate dump location will be recommended. The most common place to dump is your driveway or street.

If I pay for stacking, will you stack it anywhere I want?

Stacking is an optional add on service, but may not be feasible in all cases. Your stack area must be safely accessible. We will not stack up or down any stairs, extreme hills or slopes, or over any obstacles (anything that could prevent a wheelbarrow from maneuvering smoothly.) Please ensure your stack area is clear of any vehicles, ice, snow, pet droppings, etc. Driver reserves the right to decline a stack if the area is deemed inaccessible. In this case an alternate stack area may be suggested, however you will not be charged stacking fees if we are unable to stack your order. Stacking fees start at $60 per cord + $0.50/ft per cord* distance from the delivery truck to the stacking area. Available to add on at the time the order is placed. Orders with stacking added are only available before 2pm and may increase delivery wait time. (*1/2 cords are charged $0.50/ft distance, 1/4 cords are charged $.025/ft distance.)

How does pick-up work?
